On Piaggio 50cc engines, a belt pinched between the fixed pulley half and the variator restricts performance from a standstill. These Easyboost variator adjustment washers Ø14,8x20mm are designed precisely to eliminate this crushing effect, so the belt can move freely and the scooter regains its full acceleration capability.

Machined to an ultra-tight fitting tolerance, these precision washers are used to fill the gap when the belt positioning is not correct. The checking method is simple: the bottom of the belt must sit flush with the variator hub (see photos). If a gap remains, add washers until this measurement is achieved. Once this essential adjustment is done, the gain in acceleration is impressive.

Points to check:

  • Make sure the belt is not pinched by the fixed pulley half: this is the key to optimal acceleration.
