This tool is designed to deglaze the inner bore of the cylinder by restoring the fine cross-hatch scratches present from the factory, which are essential for retaining the oil film.
Compatibility: it can be used on all 2-stroke and 4-stroke cylinders with a bore diameter between Ø32mm and 89mm, whether cast iron or aluminium.
How to use: secure the hone in the chuck of a drill/driver, insert it into the cylinder, then lubricate the stones and the bore with 2-stroke oil to limit abrasion, keeping it lubricated throughout the entire operation. Work the hone up and down the bore, checking regularly for the cross-hatch pattern to appear. The job is done once the scratches are even across the full height of the cylinder.
