How to Remove and Change the Variator and Rollers on an MBK Booster Nitro?
This article shows you how to remove and change the variator on an MBK Booster or Nitro in order to replace the rollers of the variator or the drive belt. This operation is fairly easy to carry out and requires no particular mechanical knowledge. The Easyboost tool is laser-cut and then hand-welded, which gives you a very high quality product.
In the following example, we will work on an MBK Booster engine, but the principle is exactly the same on a Stunt, Rocket, Nitro engine, etc.
- Socket set
- Allen keys
REMOVING THE CLUTCH BELL
Once the casing screws have been removed with an Allen key, you get access to the transmission of the MBK Booster / Nitro.

FITTING THE EASYBOOST VARIATOR LOCKING TOOL
Then simply fit the Easyboost locking tool using the 2 screws supplied. There is no need to tighten the screws with a key, hand-tight is enough.

LOOSENING THE VARIATOR NUT
Then use a ratchet fitted with a 17 mm socket or a box wrench to loosen the variator nut.

REMOVING THE VARIATOR
The fixed half-pulley of the variator, also called the ventilated pulley, is finally removed along with a thin washer. You can now remove the belt as well as the variator containing the rollers. For reassembly, simply proceed in exactly the reverse order.
